Description: A guided bike tour exploring the history, architecture and natural landscape of Albany Rural Cemetery. The tour will stop by various gravesites, natural landscape features and monuments of historic interest. Involves some moderate to steep terrain. Bring your own bike. Reservations requested.

Description: Guided tour of Albany Rural Cemetery commemorating the 250th anniversary of the French and Indian War (1754-1763). The gravesites of Philip Schuyler, Abraham Ten Broeck, Volkert Petrus Douw, Henry Quackenbush and the children and grandchildren of British Colonel James Bradstreet will be highlighted. Reservations requested.

Description: Guided walking tour through the cemeterys wooded ravines with waterfalls and by various gravesites and monuments of historic interest and architecturally significant 19th century buildings still in use. Reservations requested.
Event: Civil War Heritage Day

Description: Civil War tours either walking or by horse drawn carriage will be conducted every 20 minutes, Civil War era soldiers will give marching and firing demonstrations with rifles and with a Civil War cannon, the 77th NY Regimental Balladeers will perform from the side porch of an historic mansion. Several other performances including President and Mrs. Lincoln and A Lady in Mourning will be presented. A Commemorative Service will be conducted at 2 pm to honor Civil War dead. Also, a special commemorative US Postal Service cancellation and cachets will be available for sale. This event is FREE to the public but we request a $5 per car donation for parking to offset our expenses. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Description: Cherry Hillconstructed in the Town of Bethlehem in 1787is well represented at Albany Rural Cemetery with at least a dozen family members and household servants buried there. Tour participants will hear snippets of Cherry Hill family stories illustrating one Albany familys response to a changing world. Highlighted will be original owner Philip Van Rensselaer (1st Town Supervisor of the Town of Bethlehem), family war hero Solomon Van Rensselaer, John Whipple (victim of the infamous 1827 murder at Cherry Hill) third generation owners Peter and Harriet Elmendorf and their domestic servants Jimmy and Minnie Knapp, and the fourth and fifth generation owners, the Rankin family, who established Cherry Hill as a museum. Reservations requested.
